SUMMARY:Death and Dying Study Group
DESCRIPTION:The Death and Dying Study Group chooses material to work with before gathering to discuss. On 1st Tuesdays we continue working through a book. On 3rd Tuesdays our focus is on films\, articles and poems available online or are easily sent out to the study group as a PDF. We have a common interest to learn more about death and dying by reading or viewing\, discussing\, and hearing each other. \n1st and 3rd Tuesdays of the month – 1:30pm to 2:30pm — on Zoom only.  \nParticipation in the study group is open to all\, but the Zoom meetings are done by password-protected invitation email. DESCRIPTION:For information on the main course\, see the Moonbeams of Mahamudra Course here.  \nPlease note the review sessions will be Zoom only. \nRegistration is closed. \nThese discussion groups\, held on the first Saturday of each month\, have been organized to allow for more guided practice and conversation around the teachings shared by Elizabeth Callahan’s course on Moonbeams of Mahamudra. \nThese additional discussion groups will be a valuable opportunity to address any challenges or questions that have arisen in your personal practice over the past weeks. This time is specifically designed to provide more engagement with the meditation techniques and to offer a supportive space for shared reflection on the reading and practice. We encourage everyone to come prepared to discuss their experiences and insights. \nRequired text: Moonbeams of Mahamudra (if not using this link\, be sure to purchase Elizabeth’s newer translation of the text). Discounted copies of the text can be purchased from KCC’s bookstore. \nWe ask participants commit to attending the sessions led by Elizabeth Callahan.
